Girls' Varsity Lacrosse Wins Championship

Congratulations to our Girls' Lacrosse Team for winning the Cape & Islands League Championship yesterday!
All-School Field Day Was A Great Success

Our All-School Field Day held yesterday was enjoyed by all students, faculty, and staff. CCA's Rock Band kicked off the festivities, which was followed by a delicious cookout and fun, competitive games. This year, Team Blue came out ahead with 354 points to Team White's score of 326.

Cape Cod Academy Welcomes New School Counselor

Cape Cod Academy welcomes Nanci Barnett, M.A. as the new School Counselor. Nanci has extensive experience as a school counselor/psychologist for children and adolescents of all ages and diverse backgrounds, providing skilled support to youth and their families through academic, mental health, and substance use challenges.

Thank you for Supporting the Spring Gala & Auction!
Thank you to all who attended and supported Cape Cod Academy's Spring Gala & Auction. It was truly an enjoyable and remarkable celebration that raised important funds for the school. Thanks to the incredible generosity of so many, the event raised over $320,000 for our school!
End-of-School Reminders
Return or Retain Your Child's Musical Instruments?
If your child does not plan to continue to play his/her musical instrument next year, and you have rented his/her instrument, please contact the rental company, David French Music Company, to let them know that you will be leaving the instrument at Cape Cod Academy. Please drop it off in Chope Commons so the rental company representative can pick it up. If you plan to return the instrument, please complete the Cancelation Form at or call (800) 366-5993 for instructions. If your child plans to continue playing the instrument next year, you should continue to rent the instruments through the summer. Keeping the instrument will allow your child to practice over the summer.
Library Books Are Due June 1
All CCA Library Books should be returned to the Library by June 1. If you have any questions about books, please contact our Librarian, Deb Hobday, at email:
Deadline to Pick Up Lost and Found Items is Next Friday
Cape Cod Academy's lost and found areas in the lower, middle, and upper schools are overflowing, so please remind your child to claim their lost items. Beginning next week, lost and found items from all areas of the school will be brought into Chope Commons for easy access. Parents and students are encouraged to stop by to claim any items before Friday, June 3, the last day of school. Items not picked up by next Friday will be donated to a local charity.
Citizen of the Week
Eleo Abi Assaad '29

This week’s Citizen of the Week is Eleo Abi Assaad. Eleo is a consistent helper in the mornings for arrivals and always respectful. He is kind every single day, genuinely engaged, and ready to learn. He has jumped right in as a newcomer to Cape Cod Academy. He is consistently polite and a conscientious student. Congratulations, Eleo!
Human Rights Academy Held
at Cape Cod Academy

On Tuesday, Cape Cod Academy hosted the Annual Barnstable County Human Rights Academy. Keith Lewison, Humanities Teacher, along with Head of School, Jeff Thompson, welcomed students from various Cape Cod schools who gathered to collaborate on human rights and community service issues. This event brings together like-minded peers who are trying to make a positive difference in our communities.

Fourth Graders Wrap Up Antarctica Studies

On Thursday, Heather Burton, mother of Leah, visited our fourth-grade classes to complement their studies of Antarctica. Dr. Burton shared first-hand information with the students about her research and experiences in Antarctica.  
Kindergarteners Enjoy Storywalk
and Painting with Plants

Recently, our kindergarteners enjoyed a story walk featuring the book, A Trip to the Farmers Market by Tabitha Paige. Storywalks became popular during the pandemic as a way to enjoy story time sessions outdoors. Special thanks to the Osterville Village Library who donated the stands. The students also made paint from plants and painted trees in their Forest Fridays classroom, which is safe for kids and forest animals.

Golfers Compete in Tournament

Congratulations to Grace Smith '26, Olivia Jatczak '27, Colby Shipman '27, and Bella Scioletti '25 for playing in the 2022 Cape Cod School Girl Championships at the Kings Way Golf Club in Yarmouthport this week.
