Cape Cod Academy Students to Perform The Little Mermaid Jr.

Cape Cod Academy students will be performing The Little Mermaid Jr., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Performances will take place next weekend in the school’s auditorium on Friday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $10.00 for general admission and $5.00 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Cape Cod Academy Students Win Awards
in National Latin Exam
Congratulations to our students who participated in the National Latin Exam. Over 100,000 students from the USA and abroad took the exam this year. CCA students who received awards are as follows:

Head of School for a Day

Ella DiMeo, an eighth grader at Cape Cod Academy, was Head of School for the Day on Tuesday. This special auction item was awarded to her family at the Spring Gala last year. As Head of School on Tuesday, Ella helped greet the lower school students in the morning, received Head of School business cards, and enjoyed lunch with Jeff Thompson. Additional highlights of the day were a result of Ella, this year’s #2 Girl Scout cookie seller in New England, choosing to incorporate her "Cookies for Ukraine" project into the activities planned for the day. Sam Cundiff Qualifies for National Slopestyle Competition

Congratulations to Sam Cundiff ‘30 who just returned home from the USASA National Championship at Copper Mountain in Colorado. This is the world’s largest snowboarding and free-skiing competition. Sam qualified for the National Slopestyle Competition where he competed with athletes from all over the country. Sam and his two brothers, Tucker '28 and Dylan '30, who are both alpine racers, are all on the Waterville Valley Black & Blue Trail Smashers ski team in NH.
Middle School Spirit Week Begins on Monday

Spirit Week for middle school students will run next week, April 19-22. In addition to enjoying different themes each day, students will compete in a middle school scavenger hunt. Please note the grade colors and themes below:

Grade Colors:
8th grade: Orange / Gray
7th grade:: Blue / Gray
6th grade: Black

Themes and Activities:
Tuesday - "Favorite Sports Team" / Handball
Wednesday - "Comfortable Day" / Kickball

Support 'Lunch on Us' for Teacher Appreciation

Lunch on Us is a long-standing tradition at Cape Cod Academy. We are asking for parent volunteers to help supply lunches for our teachers on Friday, April 22 for Teacher Appreciation.

If you are able to participate, please RSVP and include in the comments how many lunches you are able to provide so that we can be sure we have enough for everyone. This tradition is deeply appreciated and gratefully anticipated by the teachers. Thank you for your support.
Clean Up for Earth Day
Earth Day is April 22, 2021 and Cape Cod Academy's Parents’ Association (PA) is organizing a school-wide clean-up event for Earth Day on Saturday, April 23 (rain date: Sunday, April 24) from 9:00-11:00 a.m. We need families to volunteer to help pick up trash along the main roads surrounding our 46-acre campus, as well as Osterville Village.
We will have a prize for the strangest trash found! This event is for the entire family, and we hope you can come and help keep our campus and surrounding areas beautiful!
Join Us for The Spring Gala & Auction
Cape Cod Academy’s largest fundraising event, the Spring Gala & Auction, will be held on Saturday, May 21st at the Oyster Harbors ClubThis all-school fundraiser will feature dinner, music, and live and silent auctions. Your attendance and support will make this event a great success for our school. Monday, April 25 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. - College Admissions Panel
High school juniors and their parents are invited to attend a College Admissions Panel at Cape Cod Academy on Monday, April 25 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. We will be joined by representatives from The University of the South (TN), Vanderbilt University (TN), The University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and Boston College. They will provide insights into the college admission process, including the importance of building a balanced list, testing, financial aid and scholarships, as well as an overview of today’s landscape for college admissions. Our presentation will end with a Q&A session, so please come with questions. The event is geared toward junior students and their parents, but students and parents in all grades are welcome to attend.
Monday, May 9 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. - Financial-Aid Informational Evening
Jodi Conway from Conway Financial Consulting will be joining us to provide an overview of financial aid and scholarships. This program will be geared to families with students in grades 9-12. It is never too early to start planning for the financial aspects of college.
Miles for Smiles 5K/10K

The Rotary Club of Hyannis is planning its sixth annual Miles for Smiles 5K/10K and one-mile health walk. The run and ride event will take place on April 23 at 9:00 a.m. at Barnstable High School. Cape Cod Academy is pleased to be a part of Miles for Smiles this year. Money raised will go directly to purchasing running shoes for elementary students in need on Cape Cod. If you are interested in participating, you can register here.
Join Us for CSO's Dance Marathon

Cape Cod Academy's Community Service Organization (CSO) will be hosting the Dance Marathon again this year to benefit Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation's Women's Early Detection (WED) Fund. Taking place on Saturday, April 30 from 3:00-7:00 p.m., this annual event includes four hours of popular music provided by DJ Stephanie Viva, general dancing on the gym floor, and break performances by area dancers. The cost is $10 per participant if pre-registered by purchasing your ticket at Cape Cod Academy's Reception Desk before April 28 or by VENMO at: Dance_Marathon_Cape_Cod. Tickets are also available at the door for $20. Admission includes a t-shirt (while supplies last), bottled water, and a healthy snack. Registration is Open for Summer Programs

Cape Cod Academy is pleased to announce that registration is open for a variety of summer programs that will take place on our campus. Science, arts & crafts, coding, cooking, swimming, academic, fitness, and a variety of sports camps are among the offerings. Check out our website for registration and details.
