Let's Catch Up

If you're seeing this email in your inbox, it means you have interacted with the Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation before. That might have been years ago, though, so allow us to re-introduce ourselves and our work.

We are a Cape Cod based non-profit committed to connecting people to their environment, inspiring learning, and sharing our knowledge with the world. We are driven by the water that surrounds us and the people, plants, and animals that rely on our precious coastal resources.

"Catch the Wave" is our new quarterly email. We have been doing a lot of work, and it is time we did a better job of keeping you informed. Credit to Chris at Dative for the catchy name! We recently updated our website with the team at Dative and encourage you to click around the new space. New email, check. New website, check. Keep reading to find out what else is new!

New Executive Director

Katy Acheson's position as Executive Director of Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation was announced at our Big Blue Conference in May this year. Like Cape Cod Chamber staff before her, Katy's efforts were dedicated to the Foundation although no formal titles existed. Not only is Katy the new Executive Director. The Executive Director role is new to the Foundation.

New Intern

Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation would like to introduce you to Will, a senior at Barnstable High School who reached out at the start of the school year to ask how to be involved in the Foundation's work. Fortunately for Will (and us!), Barnstable High School has a well-organized and robust internship program that allows Will to spend between 4 and 8 hours each week learning about blue economy and contributing resources to our new website.

New Merch

Early this year, Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce staff reached out to Pat and his team at Cape Clasp after learning about the Tides Custome Project. Cape Clasp's library of collaboration had one big theme in common... they're all blue economy businesses, organizations, and events. It made perfect sense for the Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation to get in on the creative action.
