This program is supported in part by grants from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council (a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency), and the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.

National Volunteer Week: Local Spotlight
Join Barnstable Land Trust and the Massachusetts Service Alliance in celebrating National Volunteer Week by recognizing the invaluable work that our volunteers contribute to BLT’s mission. Meet Joe – a former BLT board president, passionate conservation champion, and regional business leader:
Joe has lived on the Cape since 1975 and has worked in the banking industry on Cape Cod his whole career. He is currently a VP and Senior Financial Advisor with Cape Cod Five. He initially joined the BLT Board over 20 years ago to provide support to the organization’s finance area and soon took over the Treasurer’s role. As a bank officer, Joe says he was encouraged to volunteer with a local non-profit organization. He chose Barnstable Land Trust to offer his financial skill set, to help move the organization forward in achieving its long term goals, and to be involved in an organization which was going to help preserve an aspect of Cape Cod that makes it such a special place to live or visit. He says his involvement has given him great personal satisfaction, increased his appreciation for the natural beauty of Cape Cod, and given him many new friends who have shared in giving back to the community that we love.
