🌙🛍️ Shop, Sip & Get Spooky Downtown

Get ready for a little magic and mischief under the stars! Downtown Cape Girardeau is getting a spooky twist this fall with the first-ever Moonlight Over the Mississippi on Saturday, October 10.

From 3–10 p.m., witches, warlocks and anyone looking for a festive night out are invited to explore downtown at their own pace. Participating businesses will become exclusive “Broom Stops,” offering event specials, shopping, drinks and samples, food stops, giveaways, prizes and more throughout the afternoon and evening.

Unlike a traditional crawl, there’s no set route and no need to rush from stop to stop. Attendees can create their own experience, visit their favorite downtown businesses and discover some new ones along the way.

Costumes are encouraged but not required, and both witches and warlocks are welcome. The event is open to guests ages 21 and older.

Even better, a night of fun will support two important local organizations. Proceeds from Moonlight Over the Mississippi will benefit The Glenn House and the Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence.
