Organized by the Capilano Faculty Association, join the Facilitators Learning Circle to get ready to deliver this important workshop. We will gather for four learning circles guided by Danielle Mitchell, Daxgedim Haanak’ Consulting to collaboratively work through the facilitation guide and prepare ourselves to facilitate this work in our own areas.

Now that eLearn (Moodle 4.5) has recently been upgraded, we will continue with these flexible EdTech sessions in September. We will explore the latest features of eLearn, troubleshoot any technology issues, and discuss ways to enhance your online teaching.

Building Connection with Indigenous Ways of Knowing –

Fostering Collaborative Settler Educator Learning Journeys

Non-Indigenous educators often experience unease about “doing it wrong” which can discourage them from meaningfully engaging with Indigenous ways of knowing or incorporating them into their practice.  

Facilitated by CapU CTE educational developers, join educators from across the metro Vancouver area to explore how a structured collaborative learning journey can offer a way forward.

This interactive, in-person workshop introduces educators to the core principles and practices of the LSP methodology and explores its powerful applications in higher education. Through hands-on individual and group activities, participants will experience the four-step LSP process: posing questions, building, sharing, and reflecting. In addition to exploring its theoretical foundations and historical context, participants will gain insight into how LSP can be used to enhance teaching and learning across a wide range of subjects.
