CapU Teaching & Learning Symposium 2024

April 24 – 26, 2024

The theme of this year’s symposium is Nurturing Learning: What Is, What Was, and What Could Be. We can collectively learn from the wisdom of the past and contemplate the present to guide us into the future and Illuminating 2030's three core themes: community, imagination, and distinct university experience. The symposium recognizes the need to ground ourselves in our past and the present in order to imagine and continue to co-create a nurturing learning environment.

Share How You Nuture Learning (Symposium 2024)

We invite all faculty to submit a proposal by February 28. The planning committee’s intention is to create formats and spaces for sharing that are accessible to all faculty members and participants. If you are wondering how the theme of the symposium might fit with a teaching and learning activity or idea that you would like to share, an Educational Developer in the CTE would be happy to chat with you. We recommend:

  • Review your Gradebook to ensure proper setup and correct calculation of grades.
  • Add a Zoom room to your in-person class to allow remote participation in case of unexpected disruptions.
  • Review the quiz setup instruction for your final exams.

If you would like to explore all or any of these strategies, please book a time with Frank or Chi:
