EdTech: Supporting Your Summer Teaching

Gradebook

As we move through our Summer 2024 sessions – make sure your Gradebook is configured based on the Evaluation Profile located in your syllabus. Review the Gradebook documentation here - Topic: Gradebook Setup | Faculty Introduction to eLearn | Capilano University eLearn (capu.ca)

Video

Are you using video for your assignments? Remember that students should be using Kaltura – they should not be uploading video files directly to eLearn.

Student Digital Ambassadors have created resources for students located here - Student Digital Ambassador (capilanou.ca)

Groups

Groups are a great way to get students to work together on assignments and projects. You can review our documentation here to get an overview of how-to set Groups - Topic: Groups | Faculty Introduction to eLearn | Capilano University eLearn (capu.ca)

Mobile App for eLearn

Recommend to your students not to use the mobile app when completing assignments or quizzes. For a better experience, students should use a laptop or desktop computer for these type of tasks. The mobile app is optimized for reading content, watching videos, and listening to audio in your course. The CapU eLearn App - Capilano University
