Dear First Congregational Church,

For more than 160 years, First Congregational church of Boulder has been a place
where love knits us together, hope rises in our midst and faith is put into action. As a congregation rooted in radical welcome and shaped by our shared covenants, we continue to ask how God is calling us forward in each new generation.

In recent months, we have been prayerfully reflecting on our future through ongoing conversations, strategic priorities and a deep commitment to stewarding the legacy entrusted to us. These discussions have centered on one essential question: How do we sustain and strengthen our ministry for years to come? On March 22, the Congregation approved moving forward with a feasibility study and engaging a consulting firm called Fellowship Development to conduct the study.

We will begin the campaign feasibility study on May 11. The Fellowship Development Study Manager, Dominic Felix, will be on site at the church three days a week during May. With your help, the study will let us know what you think about the initiatives we are considering and measure support for a potential capital campaign. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Each week in the Weekly Update we will share more details about the study, the projects, and a potential campaign in the coming weeks.

With Gratitude,

Rev. Chris Braudaway-Bauman, Senior Minister

Matt Hess, Moderator

Libby Black, Chair, Capital Campaign, Feasibility Committee
