“I am honored to take on this new role and continue to support the incredible work Capital Harmony Works does to unite and inspire our community through music,” said Niki. “I look forward to working with our talented team, board, and partners to expand our reach and impact even further.”
Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey, Niki discovered a passion for performance early on through transformative programs like All Stars at the YWCA and Mill Hill Playhouse. A proud graduate of Granville Academy, Niki has remained deeply engaged in the Trenton community, serving on the Board of Every Child Valued and acting as a liaison for the Souls to the Polls voter registration movement. She is also an active member of the Community Foundation of New Jersey, contributing to the distribution of grants that support vital organizations across Mercer County.
After earning a Master’s in Stage and Production Management from the California Institute for the Arts, Niki embarked on a vibrant career in the performing arts, beginning with Atlanta’s Jomandi Productions, the city’s oldest African American theater. This foundation led to stage management roles at renowned theaters such as the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, the Evidence Room in Los Angeles, and The Classical Theatre of Harlem in New York.
Niki’s career highlights include receiving the prestigious New York Theatre Workshop’s Time Warner Fellowship for Artists of Color. Other notable achievements include stage-managing the Off-Broadway production of Beckett Shorts starring Mikhail Baryshnikov, as well as the West Coast premiere of Suzan-Lori Parks’ In the Blood. Niki also contributed to the Broadway marketing campaign for Fela! during her tenure with Columbia Artists Management’s CAMI Spectrum.
Returning to New Jersey a few years ago, Niki has dedicated her career to uplifting the performing arts community that once inspired and guided her. With a commitment to fostering opportunities for the next generation, she continues to serve as an advocate, mentor, and leader in the arts. Driven by the principle that "to whom much is given, much is required," Niki is passionate about giving back to the "village" that shaped her journey as a theater professional and as a woman of color.
Under Niki’s leadership, Capital Harmony Works is poised to continue its growth and strengthen its presence in the Trenton area, while advancing its mission of providing youth with the tools for creative expression, academic success, and a sense of belonging.
