Capital High Announces New Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach
Boise, ID -- 02/06/2020 -- Lauren Schams has been selected to serve as Capital High School's new Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach. Coach Schams brings coaching and playing experience to the position.

She pl ayed soccer growing up in Alaska for the Kenai Peninsula Soccer Club from U-12 through U-16 and for the Chugiak Soccer Club.

In high school, she lettered in soccer all 4 years and went to the state championships 2 years. After graduating from high school, she moved to Boise to attend Boise State University, where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in History, Secondary Education and a minor in Political Science.  She coached 9th Grade Volleyball and served as the Sprints Track Coach at South Junior High for two seasons.

Last fall, Coach Schams served as Assistant Junior Varsity Soccer Coach at Capital High. She is now excited for this new opportunity to lead Capital High's girls soccer program as the Eagle's new Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach. Coach Schams is committed to establishing a positive culture of hard work and dedication to the sport and supporting student success both inside the classroom and on the soccer field.
