Join us February 9-12, for the annual NOW Festival at Capital University, one of the Midwest’s most vibrant celebrations of contemporary music and artistic expression at Capital University. Since 1987, this dynamic event has brought international, national, and regional artists to Central Ohio, showcasing innovative works and exploring the role of music in today’s world. The week’s lineup includes student composer recitals and conversations with guest composer Raven Chacon, orchestral performances, and a multimedia presentation honoring the legacy of 9/11, all free and open to the public. Don’t miss this inspiring showcase of the art of now!

Need Academic Support? Drop-In on Tuesdays


Academic Success is offering Drop-In Academic Coaching every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union. Students are welcome to stop by to check in on how the semester is going, ask questions, and pick up tips for staying organized and on track. Academic coaching is for all students, whether you’re looking to manage your time better, prepare for exams, or build confidence in your learning. Stop in and get the support you need to make this semester a success!

Chapel Choir Performs with Andrea Bocelli

On February 7, Capital University’s Chapel Choir will perform with world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli as part of his Romanza, 30th Anniversary World Tour. The performance also features the Columbus Choral Artists, including many Conservatory alumni. In addition, Capital Conservatory faculty, professors of trombone, tuba, percussion, horn, clarinet, and flute, will perform in the orchestra, highlighting the exceptional talent and impact of Capital musicians on the world stage.

Cheer on Women’s Basketball as they host their annual Play4Kay game vs. Ohio Northern on Saturday, January 31, at 3 p.m.This special game supports the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, honoring the legacy of Coach Kay Yow and raising awareness and funds in the fight against cancers affecting women. It’s about more than basketball! The team will wear alternate uniforms with pink accents, and supporters can make donations at the game or online to help make a difference.

Capital University Athletics is proud to recognize the first Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, celebrating student-athletes who achieved a term GPA of 3.25 or higher during the Fall 2025 semester. This new distinction highlights the outstanding commitment of Comets who excel academically while representing Capital in their sports. Capital Students and Faculty Immerse Themselves in Music and Culture in Austria


For five transformative weeks this past summer, a group of Capital University vocal students traded familiar rehearsal rooms for the historic streets of Salzburg, Austria, immersing themselves in music, language, and culture at the Frost School of Music Summer Program. Guided by Dr. Caroline Bergan, assistant professor of voice, the experience proved to be far more than a study-abroad opportunity. For many, it was a turning point.

Capital Law School Dean Joe Grant has been selected as a 2026 Bexley Black History Month Banner honoree. In partnership with the City of Bexley and One Bexley, the Bexley Minority Parent Alliance recognizes African Americans who have made a meaningful impact in the community. Previous Capital honorees include Darrell Bailey, director of athletics, and Jennifer Faison Kelly, professor emerita of education.

Required Compliance Training


All employees have been assigned to our Spring 2026 All Employee Compliance Training through the online Safe Colleges/Vector LMS, Higher Education tool. Please watch your email Inbox (and/or your Spam folder) for this link. 


You have through May 1 to complete the coursework. 

W-2 Statements Available on MyCAP


For all employees who consented to receive their W-2 online, you should now have access in MyCAP under "Employee > Tax Information."

 

(Please note: For those of you who have multiple local taxes, such as two city taxes for remote work and a school district tax, you will have TWO sheets for 2025. Make sure you print out both forms for your taxes.)

 

For immediate W-2 availability, please complete the online CONSENT (MyCAP>Employee>Tax Information) in order to view and print your forms online.

 

Paper copies of W-2s will be postmarked and mailed no later than January 31, 2026, for former employees and those who do not consent to receive online copies.
