We Need You There!

Move-In and Welcome Weekend are right around the corner, and we’re inviting all faculty and staff to help us give our newest Comets an unforgettable Capital welcome on August 22.

From helping students haul boxes to cheering them on as they start this new chapter, your presence makes a real difference in how welcome our incoming class feels on day one.

One moment you won’t want to miss: the Gate Ceremony at 3 p.m. Come line the sidewalk, cheer on our students, and help kick off their Capital journey in a way they’ll remember for years to come.

Share Your Story with LUNAR

Academic Success and Accessibility Services is looking for guest speakers this fall for LUNAR (Learning & Understanding Neurodivergent Academic Resources), a workshop series designed to support neurodivergent students through hands-on sessions on self-efficacy, habit-building, and strategies for success. Neurodivergence refers to differences in how people’s brains process information, learn, and experience the world. The term can encompass ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and more. We're aiming to offer more structured support for these students in the coming year!

We're looking for faculty and staff willing to speak for about 20 minutes at a workshop and share their own experience as a neurodivergent learner. It's a chance to help normalize the neurodivergent experience and offer students real perspective and insight. Share whatever feels right to you, or we're happy to help prepare topics and discussion questions in advance.

Workshops will be held Monday afternoons at 4 p.m.
