____On October 4th, Alpine County celebrated a special place with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Wellness Center. The event brought together students, families, community partners, school staff, and tribal members. Ken J. Burkhart, Superintendent of Alpine County & District Schools, reflected on the journey to open the center and expressed gratitude to everyone involved. Geoffrey Ellis, Chairman of the Woodfords Community Council and Alpine School Employee, delivered a land acknowledgment and shared his thoughts on the center's importance.
