This issue will provide an overall look of bills filed during session and a full analysis will be published once the Governor has reviewed and signed the $93.2 billion budget (GAA HB 5001).

2020 Census
The goal of the 2020 Census is to count everyone residing on U.S territory once. The census numbers determine the formula for how much individual communities will receive of the $800 billion + available in federal resources.  Historically, young children are the most frequently missed or under reported age group in the census process. This limits how much states and communities receive to serve children and families. We need your help, as advocates for children, to work with providers and families to encourage them to respond to the census in a timely manner online, by phone or by mail. A complete and correct count in Florida’s communities help young children thrive because communities will receive their fair share to support programs, such as health insurance, hospitals, child care, food assistance, schools, and early childhood development.

We urge you to help us spread the word to please complete the 2020 Census at  http://2020census.gov/
