2025 LEGISLATIVE SESSION: WEEK 9
| | |
Senator Kathleen Passidomo (R-Naples) and Representative Sam Garrison (R-Fleming Island)
Welcome to Capitol Connection week 9. This week was supposed to mark the end of the 2025 Regular Legislative Session. However, late Friday evening the House filed HCR 1631 extending the 2025 legislative session until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025. The Legislature is expected to return to Tallahassee the week of May 12th to hash out differing ideas about the spending plan for the coming fiscal year.
The House Continuing Resolution outlined the scope of the extension to only include the 16 bills outlined in the legislation, all other bills that were filed are considered withdrawn from further consideration for this legislative session. Of the 1982 bills that were filed only 254 were ordered enrolled. For a complete list of enrolled bills click here.
Below you will find a list of enrolled substantive bills for each area of focus that was tracked by the Florida Alliance of Children’s Council & Trusts.
As we continue to bring you information from the 2025 Regular Legislative Session, we would like to thank you for subscribing to Capitol Connection. Please be on the lookout for additional editions as legislative events continue to unfold through June 6, 2025.
Until next time!
Sincerely,
The Florida Alliance of Children’s Councils & Trusts
