2024 Regular Legislative Session Sine Die

This marked the final week of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session with “Sine Die” taking place at 2:25 PM on Friday, March 8th. The Legislature had nearly 2,000 bills to consider this session, but in the end only 324 passed both chambers. It also included another large spending plan with the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget coming in at $117.4 billion. It is made up of $49.4 billion in General Revenue and $68.1 billion in State Trust Funds. The proposed spending plan does not include dollars that were also passed in substantive bills making potential state spending even larger than the $117.4 billion approved by lawmakers.
