Looking for Help - Kids/School Help

There are so many great areas of Capitol Hill that no one person (or small team of people) can keep track of. Each month we will be highlighting a different area that you might be able to help.

This month we highlighting Kids/Youth/Schooling. If you are interested in helping in anyway on this topic please let us know (email). Below is just a small number of ways that you might help:

  • Letting the CHCC know about school events or what is going on at your school.
  • Is the school doing a fundraiser? Looking for a place to host an event?
  • Do you know of summer camps in the area? Can you help put together a list?
  • Do you work for a business that would like to help our CH schools, but don't know who to contact? Maybe we can help.
  • Do you want to know more about the school closures of which Stevens is on the list (KUOW story)
  • Maybe you don't even have kids, but like buying Girl Scout cookies. Let's work together to make that easier.
  • Do you like taking your kids to the Teddy Bear Room, but your kids are too old. Help us write a guide for new parents to Capitol Hill to keep these traditions alive.

There is so much going on. Let's work together to get the word out and help others.

Reach out to us at chcc.officers@gmail.com and let's chat.

We want to hear from You

There are so many great talents and ideas that you have we would love to hear about them. You can take a look at these surveys...

Other People Want to Hear from You

It's not just the CHCC that wants to hear from you. Local Government and Organization do to. Here is a partial list surveys we have found.

Check out more on a Survey List Page.

  • The Seattle Public Safety Survey - link - The purpose of the Seattle Public Safety Survey is to solicit feedback on public safety and security concerns from those who live and/or work in Seattle.
  • Downtown Vision Survey - link - The following survey asks a few questions about the draft vision, goals and policy directions for the Downtown Seattle Regional Plan.

Have another survey, send us an email.

December Meeting - One Big Idea Now: Winter Social

With a lot of people travelling we decided to do the Good Idea Festival meeting in January. Instead we are going to do a winter social. We are working on a location, but if you are a social person who would like to help let us know. If you are not a social person (but maybe good at graphics or other skills), let us know too.

Closing and Thanks

As the days get shorter don't forget that we are all in this together. It has been great connecting with the community and finding all the great things that Capitol Hill has to offer.

Stay Strong and Stay Dry.
