Capitol Update
Representative Jeni Arndt- HD 53
Dear Neighbor,

It's hard to believe, but we are halfway done with the 2015 legislative session.  Last week my Flex Water bill was killed in the Senate committee on Agriculture. I am disappointed because there was no opposition to the bill.  I will be introducing it again next year.  Persistence will pay off; I am sure.   But I am happy to report that a water conservation bill I sponsored dealing with ditch water was passed into law and is now on its way to the Governor's desk. Several other bills on water I am sponsoring are working their way through the legislature. I will keep you posted.

 Peace Corps Tribute

As a former Peace Corps Volunteer (Morocco 1990-1992) I co-sponsored a joint tribute with Sen. John Kefalas honoring the Peace Corps. The Colorado General Assembly commended and congratulated the Peace Corps for 54 years of encouraging progress, creating opportunity and fostering mutual respect and understanding throughout the world.

Today and last Tuesday students from Poudre High School government  classes visited the Capitol.  Jeff Brubaker and Megan Baker brought the students to  watch the legislature in action.
