It's been a busy week that started with two committee meetings on Monday. In the Ag Committee, I had two bills up and both passed. The first bill,
, requires the Marijuana Enforcement Division to create rules around recycling stems and root stocks of industrial medical and recreational marijuana. Currently, these parts of the plant are going to waste when they could be used for fiber products. The second bill,
, adds millet as an agricultural commodity, allowing schools like CSU to do more research on it.
On Wednesday, Rep. Singer and I passed a bill that is near and dear to my heart. The
Colorado Road and Safety Act
allows all people in Colorado with valid driver's licenses to renew online. This bill is about equality and fairness.
