Capitol Update
Representative Jeni Arndt- HD 53
Member of Rural Affairs  and Agriculture Committee; Business Affairs and Labor Committee

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We kicked off the 72nd General Assembly on January 4th. It's always exciting seeing new and familiar faces under the golden dome.

Last Friday, I was sworn in for my third term representing House District 53. It's my honor to serve you as your State Representative. Any time you are in Denver, please send me an email and I will reserve you a seat on the House floor.

Tuesday, I had the honor of escorting Governor Polis at his inauguration. At the ceremony, statewide officials demonstrated the peaceful transition of power. Governor Polis laid out a progressive plan to tackle difficult issues such as lowering the cost of healthcare, fulling funding all-day kindergarten, and keeping our air and water clean. I look forward to working with Governor Polis. Time to get to work!

In November, voters flooded Colorado with a blue wave. Democrats are the majority party in the State House and Senate. Democrats also picked up an historic number of statewide offices. Congratulations to Attorney General Phil Weiser, Secretary of State Jena Griswold, and Treasurer Dave Young.
