Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Happy spring! I hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather.
This week, the Joint Budget Committee was presented with the March Revenue Forecast. The forecast is the foundation of the state budget that is being debated the next two weeks. You can review the full forecast here:
Potatoes from the San Luis Valley on Ag Day.
Wednesday was one of my favorite days at the Capitol, Ag Day! Ag Day is a celebration of local farmers and ranchers as well as renowned Colorado chefs. It's a day to reflect on where our food comes from and the importance of agriculture in our state. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Yesterday, the farm stand bill I am running passed the Senate and is on the way to the Governor. The bill deregulates where farmers can sell their produce, no matter the size of their land. Thank you to the local Fort Collins farmers who brought this issue to my attention.
You are all invited to the upcoming Community Forum at Avogadro's Number on Saturday, March 23rd from 3pm-4:30pm. The address is 605 S Mason St, Fort Collins, CO 80524. We are discussing the state budget. Please join.
