(Rep. Arndt testifying on HB17-1076 in Ag Committee)
Today, my aquifer bill passed 3rd reading in the House 58-6 -- on to the Senate. This bill directs the state engineer to promulgate rules for artificially recharging nontributary aquifers. In an article with the Coloradoan, I said "It's another storage vehicle. It's logical, it's practical. It should be part of our future water plan." Hello tomorrow and new methods of environmentally friendly, practical and efficient water storage. Tomorrow-tech vs yester-tech!
I am honored to be the sponsor of a resolution that will restore balance and integrity to our elections by implementing campaign finance reform.Americans across the political spectrum agree that elections should be free from the disproportional influence of special interests and fair enough that any citizen can be elected into office. I am not sure when my resolution will be introduced, but thank you to everyone who has called my office in support.
As you may know, I am very involved in civil discourse efforts around the nation. This past week, I held a reception for legislators to discuss ways we can better avoid extreme and unproductive polarization. While we are already very civil here in Colorado, it was still a great meeting with two Democrats and two Republicans attending.
As always, feel free to call me anytime at 970-231-5090 or email me at email@example.com.
