Capitol Update
Representative Jeni Arndt- HD 53
Assistant Caucus Chair; Chair of Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources Committee;
Member of Business Affairs and Labor Committee
Dear Friends and Neighbors,

(It's a law!)
This week, two more of my bills were signed into law. HB17-1076 was one of my favorite bills to run. It creates rules around recharging nontributary aquifers, which are great for storing water. SB17-100 provides legal protection for volunteers who work on our trails.

(Honoring first responders at the Capitol )
We honored Colorado's first responders this week, and I was thrilled to be joined by Poudre Fire Authority's Chief Tom DeMint.  Thank you for all you do. When I lived in Mozambique for nearly 6 years, we had no first responders. Public money supports our public servants and first responders. We are privileged indeed. THANK YOU!
(The Long Bill)
All day Thursday, we discussed the budget with 98 possible amendments. No wonder we call it the "Long Bill". We were here until about 11pm and there is more work to be done today.
You are all invited to join me, Rep. Joann Ginal, and Sen. John Kefalas for a Town Hall at Old Town Library on Saturday, April 8th from 2pm-3:30pm. We will be taking questions. Please join us!

As always, feel free to call me anytime at 970-231-5090 or email me at jeniarndt53@gmail.com.
