Caprese Pasta Salad

FigMINT Farms, our outdoor venue in Apex, is now growing Basil-- and a lot of it at that! It was an awesome coincidence that Noelle, co-owner of Sassool is the biggest fan of all things Caprese.

She teamed up with Mounir at our latest Cooking with Sassool session to produce a really amazing pasta salad with a fresh basil dressing, fresh mozzarella, grape tomatoes, and a balsamic drizzle.

The flavor of the basil dressing is BURSTING with freshness and are so excited to share this with you starting August 1st!

Sassool's Birthday Week!

August 3- August 10th

Each year we like to honor our founder's mother, Sassool, since she has been the inspiration and source of many of our recipes we serve on our menu. We still feel her presence as this is the first birthday we are without her.

Here are somethings you can look forward to during this week:

All Week

• Sassool's key cooking ingredients will be displayed and highlighted in our market section. You will find a QR code on the display sign that will give you access to recipes using these ingredients!
• You will see Sassool's favorite recipes highlighted at our fresh case

On August 6th (her birthday)

• Bring your mom to Sassool for a meal and enjoy a FREE Zaatar Pizzette OR Spinach Fatayer to share! These were two of Sassool's favorites!
• Sampling will be taking place from 11-2 and 5-8pm at both locations. Get a sneak peak at the improved chickpea salad recipe as well as the original. Give us your feedback! We are still in development stages and want to hear what you think!

An Annual Arts Event

The 48th annual Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival is taking place on August 24th and 25th. It showcases over 250 exceptional artists from across the country!

Enjoy live entertainment on four stages, relax in our beer garden & Lazy Lounge AND this year stop by and enjoy Sassool food at our vendor booth in the Beer Garden!

Kids will love Kid Daze with fun activities throughout including the new Kid Collectors Market, where they can purchase pint-sized pieces created by our Lazy Daze artists! Participate in interactive art activities, engage with demonstrations by professional artisans, and embrace the “Lazy Daze” of summer.

We hope you come to our booth to grab a bite while you stroll and shop the arts and crafts vendors throughout the festival!

We haven't stopped with the new giant firepit and the wall enclosure at the shelter.

In order to make your rental experience better at our outdoor venue, we now have added



• Ceiling fans
• 7 - 8ft folding tables
• 50 folding chairs

Off Hwy 64 in Apex, this serene spot is accessible to anywhere in the Triangle and has lots of open space for you to have fun the way you like!

• Rent the property for $150 per hour, 4 hour minimum.



• SPECIAL FITNESS/WELLNESS RATE for fitness instructors and yoga instructors (message if you are interested).

• We now have 2- 5ft tables, 1 6ft table, and 7 - 8 ft tables + 55 folding chairs for your use.
