Re: Updates for the season

REGISTRATION

This year it's doubly important for everyone to register prior to the start of the season. We and the ski areas need to have a good handle on our numbers for planning and logistics. We ask everyone to register by November 15.

There are a few ways to get your team members registered.

Register online on their own and specify the league and team
Captains can register participants by filling out an online roster (see link below)
Captains can register participants via e-mail sent by the Captain

If you do fill out the online roster or send an e-mail, only include the racers who are planning on participating this year. You can always go back and add more. Follow the links below to either register or submit a roster.

After November 15, we will delete any names on your roster that are not registered.

We've added a new report online to show who has registered so far. You can go to this report and then search your team. This report shows ONLY registered racers.

JACKSON HOLE CAMP

The Jackson Hole Race camp is still scheduled for Friday-Sunday, December 11, 12, 13.

Due to COVID, Jackson Hole feels that the ratio of campers to coaches needs to go to 3 campers to every 1 coach. With this, the camp has increased to $1,215.

The Alpenhof is still offering a great deal for lodging.

BUCK HILL SUNDAY AM RACE DATES

The schedule for Buck Hill Sunday AM races has been modified due to scheduling conflicts at Buck Hill. We are not able to have races on January 31 or February 14. This is completely out of our control and we have done all we can to make something work. The following is the schedule for the season:

Race 1 - January 3

Race 2 - January 10

Race 3 - January 17

Race 4 & 5 - January 24

Race 6 & 7 - February 7

Double races will consist of one race starting at 10 am (9:30 inspection) and allowing 3 or 4 runs. Then there will be a break and possible course redressing. Then a separate race consisting of 3 or 4 runs will follow.

ADDITIONAL RACING OPPORTUNITIES

We are currently working with Buck Hill to secure a few Saturday evening dates to hold some open races. Once these dates are secured, we will let everyone know and get them on the calendar.

AWARDS / RESULTS

As we get closer to the season, we will come up with a way to get results and awards out to everyone. As of right now, we will not be able to have a formal awards ceremony. We will keep everyone up to date as our plan evolves.
