Cruisin with the Classics Car Show August 19
Don't Miss This Great Event!

The largest annual fundraiser that supports our Fremont Township Food Pantry is the car show at Grand Dominion. Over 90 volunteers work each year on this event and the proceeds go to our food pantry and local neighbors in need. Don't miss this event-it is terrific.  For each non-perishable food item, school supply, or dollar (check or cash) you donate you will receive one ticket for a chance to win the GRAND PRIZE...A $300 Visa Gift Card! The more you donate - the more chances you have to WIN!

This event is FREE of charge and fun for the whole family including: Contests, Raffle Prizes, children's activities and food and drink from local restaurants and more.
Like to Hike? Enjoy your Lake County Forest Preserves and Hike Lake County. Enjoy fall breezes and autumn colors while exploring designated Hike Lake County trails. Fort Sheridan Reopens With 70-Foot Overlook Of Lake Michigan
The  Lake CountyForest Preserves  announced the reopening of  Fort Sheridan Forest Preserve  in Lake Forest with new and improved features that provide greater access to the site’s natural beauty and rich military history. Following more than a year of construction, visitors will once again be able to enjoy portions of the preserve’s scenic trails and access to the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Eighth Annual Mundelein Arts Festival Set for September 8-9
Mundelein Community Connection and the Mundelein Park District proudly present the Eighth Annual Mundelein Fine Arts Festival, a juried art festival showcasing the talents of 45 fine artists and craftspeople who work in a variety of media. The event will be held September 8-9 2018, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, at Kracklauer Park in downtown Mundelein, 100 N. Seymour Ave. Admission is free. More information
Request Your Ballot By Mail For the November 6 Election
Just a reminder that early voting will be at our Fremont Township Office from now on, but if you would like to vote by mail you can now order your ballot.

Lake County residents correctly registered with their current name and address can now request a ballot by mail for the Nov. 6, 2018 election. This is an ideal voting option for snowbirds, students away at school, and those who will be traveling on Election Day as your ballot can be mailed anywhere. Completed applications must be submitted to the Clerk’s Office by noon Nov. 1 . According to Illinois state statute, ballots cannot be mailed to the voters until late September.

Listen To The Radio For Traffic Updates
Are you aware of the county radio station?Highway Advisory Radio 1620 AM communicates real time traffic information directly to Lake County motorists. Broadcast information includes location of delays due to crashes, construction and extreme traffic congestion to help motorists in planning their commute. 
Referendum for Single Waste Hauler For Unincorporated Fremont Township Residents
At our July board meeting, the Fremont Board of Trustees voted to place a question on the November Ballot to allow the board to contract with a single waste hauler in unincorporated Fremont Township. If passed, this would apply only to residential areas.

The ballot question presented to voters would read as follows:

Shall the Township Board of Fremont Township, Lake County Illinois,                               
be authorized to exercise the powers of the “Township Refuse Collection 
and Disposal Act” as provided in Article 210 of the Township Code, 60 
ILCS 1/210-5,  et. seq ., to enter into a contract for the collection, disposal,                           
composting or recycling of garbage, refuse and ashes within the 
unincorporated area of the Township?

We accept diaper donations for children and adults. If you have diapers you are no longer in need of, please consider donating them to Fremont Township. We do accept open bags.
