Home Lunch Permits
Eleventh and twelfth grade students may leave Bellaire High School campus during Cardinal Hour only if parent or guardian grants written permission and students meet all requirements. Failure of students to abide by the policy and maintain good standing as a student will result in the privilege being revoked. Students must return this request form into their alpha Assistant Principal for approval. A new ID will be issued once approval is granted.

Students will be screened again by our wellness team when they return to campus.

Drive Through Food Drive
The Italian National Honor Society (INHS) is organizing a Food Drive for the Houston Food Bank, but this time, due to the pandemic, we turned it into a Food Drive-Thru. On November 7th we will be collecting the food items at the Maple Street Circle Drive between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.  To ensure safety for everyone, all volunteers will wear masks and gloves.

Unlike previous years, The INHS will not be able to offer a tiramisu to the class who collects the most cans, but they can still keep track of your donations and bring you a box of Baci Perugina!! We hope that you will spread the word and donate!  The Italian National Honor Society and their sponsor, Ms Borsa, want to thank you in advance for being active members of our amazing village!

Seniors - Class Rank Update on Transcripts
Starting Oct. 17th when you request a transcript, you will have an option that allows you to request your class rank be removed from your transcripts. Please use the following link to request that your class rank be removed. You need only submit this request once, and then it will apply to all transcripts that you request from now through the date of the February Final Ranking.

If you decide to have your class rank removed, it will be removed for all your October Preliminary Ranking transcripts, which we send after this date. This may be advantageous for some of you in your college applications. We are sharing links to two articles below that discuss removing class rank from your transcript. This is a personal decision, and we are happy to discuss it with you in the College Center.

November 1st College Deadlines
November 1st is an important deadline in the college application process. For our Texas college, The University of Texas at Austin, The University of Houston, and Sam Houston State University all have November 1st priority deadlines. This means that students who get their completed application in by the deadline will not only hear back from the university earlier with an admission decision, but they are AUTOMATICALLY considered for academic scholarships. If you are looking for financial aid from either of these two schools, it's near impossible if you apply after November 1st.
For other schools, the November 1st deadline may be their Early Action or Early Decision deadline. Early decision applications are binding - a student who is accepted as an ED applicant must attend the college. Early action applications are non-binding - students receive an early response to their application but do not have to commit to the college until the normal reply date of May 1. Please review some common deadlines linked here.
