Juniors

All Juniors who are enrolled in English III will be taking the TSIA2 Accuplacer Pre-Assessment this week.

The TSIA2, or Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0, is a standardized test used in Texas to determine the readiness of incoming college students for college-level work.

The TSIA2 is crucial for students as it helps identify their academic strengths and weaknesses. If a student does not meet the college-readiness benchmarks in any of these areas, they may be required to enroll in developmental courses or interventions to improve their skills before taking credit-bearing courses. This targeted approach helps students build a solid foundation in essential academic skills, potentially reducing the time and cost of their college education by helping them avoid courses that they are already prepared for. More information can be found here.

Clubs - Get Connected and Involved!

The start of a new semester brings fresh starts! If you have not connected with a club or organization, now is the perfect time to jump in and join. Look through the dates of club meetings and attend a meeting this week. Taking the first step to show up will lead to new friends, connections, and opportunities. If you have a question about a club or joining one, please swing by and talk to Ms. Chapman in room 2712.
