Bellaire Debate
The Bellaire Debate Team attended the South Texas District Tournament to qualify for the National Speech and Debate Tournament in Iowa. There are two divisions for qualifiers: House and Senate. Samantha Tran (1st place), Alia Hassan (4th place), and Catherine Xue (2nd place) qualified in House. Jason Chen is the 1st alternate in Senate and Pranalisree Rajarajan is the 1st alternate in House.

Bellaire Guitar
Bellaire sent three guitar groups - Varsity, Junior Varsity and Cardinal - to the HISD Concert and Sightreading Contest at Meyerland PVA Middle School last Friday. All three groups earned straight ones and received great feedback and suggestions from an accomplished panel of adjudicators.

Bellaire High School's PTO auction opens Monday, April 1st at 9am. Over 80 fabulous auction items are included, including weekend getaways, jewelry, designer handbags, sporting and theater tickets, spa services, restaurant gift cards, and much more! The auction is open to the entire BHS community.

Mark Your Calendars
Please mark your calendars for the Spring STAAR Exams. Student attendance is critical leading up to the exams. Please note that tutorials are also available for students in all 5 content areas during Cardinal Hour and after school.

After School Tutorials
Tutorials are available to any student. Students retesting in English I or II, Algebra 1, Biology, or US History tutorials are required to attend.

NHS Tutorials
For athletes in courses other than English I, II, Algebra I, Biology and US History, the National Honor Society will offer tutorial for athletes after school this Wednesday, February 21st in room 1521 (athletics conference room).

Students in 9th and 10th grade may submit an application to form a new club for the Fall 2024 semester using submitting this form.

Senior Dues
Senior Dues go up on April 1st! Seniors can pay through Schoolinks or by cash or check in the Main Office. Please see Ms. Littlejohn.

Class of 2024 Prom
Prom is Saturday, May 18th at the Museum of Natural Science. Senior dues cover the cost of prom for a student. If a Senior is bringing a guest that is not a Senior at Bellaire High School they may purchase a prom ticket for the guest May 13-17. Guest tickets to prom are $100.
Parent Volunteers for After Prom Party

FAFSA - Attention All Seniors
In accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC), §28.0256, beginning with students enrolled in 12th grade during the 2021-2022 school year, each student must do one of the following in order to graduate:
- Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA);
- Complete and submit a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA); or
- Submit a signed opt-out form.
Additional FAFSA information can be found through accessing the US Department of Educations website here.
If your student does not have a SSN, no worries! They will complete a TASFA online application in February 2024 to be eligible for aid to Texas college.
