Dear Cardinal Mooney Family,

As we embark on the Jubilee Year 2025, the Catholic Church invites us to embrace the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” This special year, proclaimed by Pope Francis, is a time of spiritual renewal, unity, and grace. It calls us to deepen our faith, serve others with compassion, and reflect on the hope we find in Christ.

At Cardinal Mooney, we will journey together through prayer, acts of service, and opportunities to grow closer to God. Whether through celebrating the Sacraments, participating in community outreach, or reflecting on our personal faith, let this year inspire us to live as joyful witnesses of hope.

Following this message is a special prayer from the Diocese of Youngstown to guide us in this holy year. May it uplift and inspire you as we begin this sacred journey.

Lori Radinsky

Campus Minister

Father in heaven,

may the faith you have given us

in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,

and the flame of charity enkindled

in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,

reawaken in us the blessed hope

for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us

into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.

May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos

in the sure expectation

of a new heaven and a new earth,

when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,

your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee

reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,

a yearning for the treasures of heaven.

May that same grace spread

the joy and peace of our Redeemer

throughout the earth.

To you our God, eternally blessed,

be glory and praise forever.

Amen
