Looking Forward to Upcoming Events! | | We are excited to welcome spring and all of the special events happening across our district in the coming weeks! As we move into one of the busiest and most exciting times of the school year, our students continue to stay busy with important learning experiences and memorable celebrations. On April 29, our high school students will participate in the Mock Crash event, which serves as a powerful reminder about making safe and responsible choices. Prom will take place on May 2, giving students the opportunity to celebrate and make lasting memories with friends. We will also honor the hard work and achievements of our graduating seniors during Scholarship Night on May 6. Our middle school and elementary students are also looking forward to a variety of fun activities, field trips, concerts, and end-of-year celebrations as they continue learning and making memories together. We look forward to these meaningful events and all of the excitement this season brings to our schools and community. | |

Moving to the Middle
We are excited to welcome the class of 2033 to Annandale Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year!
To help with this transition, we invite you to attend our "Moving to the Middle" information session on Monday, May 4th, 2026, from 5:30–7:00 PM in the Annandale Middle School “A” Gym. We’ll provide an overview of what to expect as your child enters 6th grade, including information about academics, routines, and student support. This will be a great opportunity for families and students to ask questions, meet AMS teachers and staff, tour the building, and get a better sense of our school culture.

8th Grade Service Learning Project and High School Tours
Our 8th grade students will soon take part in a meaningful Service Learning Day in partnership with Youth First. Alongside their teachers, students will spend the morning giving back to the Annandale community by helping rake, clean, and care for local parks and shared spaces. This day is a great opportunity for our students to lend a hand, take pride in their community, and see the impact they can make through simple acts of service.
After a morning of work, students will return to the middle school for a grill-out lunch before heading to the high school for tours and important information as they prepare for the next step in their journey. While we will be sad to see the class of 2030 leave our building, we are confident they will continue to make a positive impact at the high school and beyond.

The National Honor Society sponsored a Red Cross Blood Drive event at AHS on Wednesday, April 15th. Student and staff donors successfully donated 27 units of blood! A severe nationwide shortage of blood has been declared this year, and these donations will make a huge impact! For anyone interested in donating blood, please visit redcross.org

AHS Mock Crash - Scheduled for April 29th.
Annandale juniors and seniors will witness the re-enactment of a two-car motor vehicle crash involving a distracted driver and the consequences of not wearing a seatbelt. A crash like this would truly be a life-changing event for all involved. It is our hope that this simulation shows students the importance of using seatbelts, while also bringing attention to the consequences of distracted and impaired driving. We also believe this program helps civilians understand the services provided to our communities by law enforcement, fire and rescue, and EMS. Thank you to everyone involved in the simulation, and thank you, Wright County Safe Schools, for partnering with us.
