Helping Families Access Summer Food Programs!

Summer Food Programs

As we head into the summer months, we want to make sure our families are aware of resources available to help support children when school is not in session.

One important program is SUN Bucks (also known as Summer EBT), which provides eligible families with funds to help purchase groceries during the summer. This program is designed to ensure students continue to have access to nutritious food even when they are not receiving meals at school. SUN Bucks Information

In addition to SUN Bucks, the Annandale Food Shelf is available to support families in our community. These organizations provide a variety of food and essential items and are here to help—no family should hesitate to reach out if needed.

Families can also find more information about summer meal programs and additional resources through the Minnesota Department of Education website. While Annandale is not eligible to host a summer lunch program, families can use the link to locate lunch program hosts in surrounding communities. Summer Nutrition Program Map

We encourage families to explore these options and take advantage of the support available. If you have questions or need assistance connecting with resources, please don’t hesitate to contact the district office.
