Together Through the Cold: Staying Warm and Positive

As we settle into the heart of winter, we want to take a moment to thank our students, staff, families, and community for your continued dedication and resilience. Cold temperatures and winter weather can add extra challenges to our daily routines, but they also highlight the strength of our school community.

Each day, our staff shows up ready to support students, our students arrive prepared to learn, and our families partner with us to ensure learning continues—regardless of the conditions outside. That persistence matters. It creates safe, welcoming schools and keeps our focus where it belongs: on student growth, learning, and well-being.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our parents and guardians for your support during Elearning days. Your flexibility, patience, and partnership at home play a critical role in keeping students engaged and learning when weather impacts our ability to be in school. We truly appreciate all you do to help make those days successful.

Thank you for your flexibility, your commitment, and your belief in our schools. Spring will be here before we know it!

Mock Interviews a Success at Annandale High School

Annandale High School Business Teacher Otto Klaverkamp coordinated student mock interviews on Wednesday, January 14, from 1:20–3:40 p.m. Several community volunteers participated, helping students practice interview skills in a professional setting. Interviewers were provided with student resumes, cover letters, interview questions, and a grading rubric, making the process simple and accessible for all participants. Whenever possible, students were matched with interviewers based on career interests, allowing for meaningful and relevant conversations. Volunteers met before and after the sessions to discuss student progress and expectations, and refreshments were provided. The event was a valuable experience for students and would not have been possible without the support of our community volunteers.

Thank you, Community Members!
