Homecoming 2024

Fall activities are in full-swing which means homecoming is right around the corner. Homecoming is an energized celebration of school spirit that brings students, staff, alumni, and community members together for a week full of festivities. The royalty coronation, dress up days, home sporting events, and pep rallies all build up to the Friday night tailgate carnival, football game, and Saturday's homecoming dance.

The excitement for the week can be observed, by the school colors and signs that decorate our halls and the windows of businesses on main street, as we celebrate everything that is great about being an Annandale Cardinal! It is a chance for current students to create lifelong memories with their friends. For alumni, it’s a touching reminder of where their stories began and an opportunity to rekindle friendships with old classmates. Homecoming strengthens bonds across generations, celebrating past achievements while encouraging future successes. It serves as a powerful reminder of the strength of unity within the school community, creating a joyful and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

I am incredibly excited for this year’s homecoming! We are in the midst of planning a week packed with fun events. I cannot wait to see our community come alive with Cardinal Pride!

Levies are for Learning. Bonds are for Building.

On November 5, 2024, Annandale Public School voters will be asked to increase our district’s operating levy by $750 per pupil for a 10-year term with an inflationary factor.

An operating levy is different from a building bond. Operating levies provide sustained funding for the daily operational expenses of our schools, while building bonds are for construction projects. This $750/student funding would help bring our district closer to the state average of $1,036/student for local funding and provide equitable support for learning relative to Wright County districts.

Annandale Elementary (AES)

All 1st-5th grade classes learned about artist Alma Thomas. They then spent time adding small pieces of paper to our huge collaborative collages. The students worked together to choose the design and colors to create this beautiful work. The artwork is proudly displayed in the Cardinal Cafe. Next time you are in our building, be sure to ask your student which part they helped make!

Join our Parent Staff Advisory Committee! We encourage and welcome Annandale Elementary parents to join our Parent Staff Advisory Committee. Please mark your calendar for Monday, September 23 from 5:30-6:30PM in the AES conference room. All are welcome!
