Fabric of Our Community

During my short time in Annandale, one thing that I have noticed is that school pride is more than just a tradition here—it’s woven into the fabric of our community. Whether it’s on the field, in the gym, or in the auditorium, the support for our Cardinals is something that brings the community together. Our activities are a perfect example, with spectator seating filled not only by students and families, but by alumni and local fans who show up simply because they love to support our students, coaches, and directors. The energy and enthusiasm at our events create an atmosphere that makes a real difference for our students, fueling their passion and inspiring them to give their very best.

Cardinal pride extends far beyond game day. Take a walk through town, and you’ll see it everywhere—from local businesses proudly showing their support to alumni reminiscing about their time at Annandale, and the Cardinal gear worn by people of all ages. Whether it’s a sweatshirt spotted in the grocery store or someone volunteering their time in the concession stand, there’s a strong connection between the school and the community. That sense of pride does not fade after graduation; it sticks with people, reinforcing what it means to be a part of Annandale.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our programs, our students, and our school. Your enthusiasm and involvement help make Annandale a place where tradition and community go hand in hand. Go Cardinals!

LTFM DOLLARS USED FOR TRACK RESURFACING

Project anticipated for summer 2025

Annandale High School’s track has hit a point where competing teams are unwilling to run on it due to the hardness and disrepair of the surface. The track was last repaired eight years ago with the expectation that it would last the district another five to seven years before needing to be completely redone. This has held true and as discussed at previous school board meetings, the high school track will now be resurfaced this summer. The cost of the resurfacing will be funded through Long-Term Facilities and Maintenance (LTFM) dollars and will not result in an increase in taxes. Click here to read more.
