Fall vacation is here!

As we settle into the school year with daily routines that provide a well-rounded education, we are also filling each day with enriching experiences and meaningful interactions. As the crisp autumn breeze fills the air and the leaves change colors we share anticipation for a possible hint of good ol’ Minnesota snow. Which is why we are delighted to announce the arrival of our Fall Vacation this week Oct. 19 and 20 for all learners E - 12. This period of respite marks a time for our school community to unwind, recharge, and embrace the beauty of the season.

During this vacation, we encourage our students to make the most of their time. Fall Vacation is not merely a break from routine; it’s a valuable opportunity for everyone to engage in activities that promote well-being, creativity, and family bonding. It’s a time for students to explore their passions, pursue hobbies, read books, spend quality time with family and friends, and simply relax. Families, we encourage you to participate actively in your child’s activities, fostering a sense of togetherness and support. For our dedicated staff, it’s a chance to rejuvenate, attend professional development sessions, and return with fresh ideas to enhance the learning experience for our students.

We recognize the importance of rest and relaxation in maintaining a healthy balance between academics and personal well-being. Take this time to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories with your loved ones. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming your student(s) back to school after the break.

A 21 Year Tradition of Celebrating Unity Day

Unity Day was started by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center. It is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention/Awareness Month in October. This is a day when our nation can come together in one giant, ORANGE message of hope and support for all. The call to action is simple: wear orange to stand for unity, inclusion, acceptance, and kindness. The first Unity Day at Annandale Elementary School was on October 10, 2012. It has been a long tradition that our staff gather in the gym on the morning of UNITY Day for a staff-wide photo. Click here to continue reading.

Through the generosity of volunteers, Cardinal Cruisers has been able to provide students in the Annandale area the chance to try out this wonderful sport that many would otherwise not have the opportunity to experience. Cardinal Cruisers is offered to all children from 1st Grade - 12th Grade. Many continue to improve their skiing or snowboarding skills at Powder Ridge and other resorts throughout the world... even competitively, as well as continue to enjoy this sport for many years to come. We are happy to share this experience with your children.

Club Dates: Monday, December 4th, Monday, December 11th, Monday, December 18th, Monday, January 8th (pictures), Monday, January 15th (pizza party), Monday, January 22nd and Monday, January 29th (bonus night - no transportation).

There will not be club on days when there is no school or if school closes early for weather. Busing/transportation is provided from the Annandale schools for each club night except for the bonus night.

High School Happenings

Our Career Speaker Day at the high school was a huge success! We worked to get speakers from a variety of career areas. Each high school student registered for four presentations about various careers followed by a Q & A. We had 30+ presenters from different careers including; attorney, police officer, plumber, realtor, business owner, photographer, nurse and more! Thank you to the many professionals who shared their expertise with our students!
