Notes From Ms. Leyba

Junior High Families,

It was so wonderful to see so many of you at our Back to School Night! I hope you enjoyed meeting your students’ teachers and getting a glimpse into what their day-to-day life looks like at school.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported our Fall Mum Sale! We are getting closer to delivery day and will need volunteers to help sort and organize the mums on Wednesday, September 16 at 12:30 p.m. We will also need help passing out orders to families.

If you are available to lend a hand, please use the link below to sign up. I truly appreciate any help you can provide!

We will also have a limited number of extra mums and other items available for purchase on September 16 for anyone who was unable to place an order. Stop by and grab one while supplies last!

Our first WHPH of the year will take place on Friday, September 4! To participate, students must have no missing assignments and no D’s or F’s. Students who are not eligible to participate will remain inside and use the time to work on missing assignments. Grades will be pulled on Wednesday, September 2 at 3:00 p.m. The grades recorded at that time will determine eligibility for the WHPH activity. Keep working hard, and let’s have a great first WHPH!

Familias de Junior High,

¡Fue maravilloso ver a tantas familias durante nuestra Noche de Regreso a Clases! Espero que hayan disfrutado conocer a los maestros de sus hijos y tener una idea de cómo es su día a día en la escuela.

¡Muchas gracias a todos los que han apoyado nuestra Venta de Crisantemos de Otoño! Ya nos estamos acercando al día de entrega y necesitaremos voluntarios para ayudar a clasificar y organizar los crisantemos el miércoles 16 de septiembre a las 12:30 p. m. También necesitaremos ayuda para entregar los pedidos a las familias.

También tendremos una cantidad limitada de crisantemos adicionales y otros artículos disponibles para comprar el 16 de septiembre para quienes no pudieron hacer un pedido. ¡Pasen a comprar uno mientras haya existencias!

Nuestro primer WHPH (Work Hard, Play Hard) del año se llevará a cabo el viernes 4 de septiembre. Para participar, los estudiantes deben no tener tareas pendientes y no tener ninguna calificación de D o F. Los estudiantes que no sean elegibles para participar permanecerán dentro de la escuela y utilizarán ese tiempo para trabajar en sus tareas pendientes.

Las calificaciones se revisarán el miércoles 2 de septiembre a las 3:00 p. m. Las calificaciones registradas en ese momento determinarán la elegibilidad de los estudiantes para participar en la actividad de WHPH.

¡Sigan trabajando duro y hagamos que nuestro primer WHPH sea excelente!
