It’s hard to imagine that we have already reached Spring Break! We hope that you and your student are able to have some well-deserved rest!

We are so proud of how hard you and your child have worked this year to be academically successful!

Attention Parents

Parents/guardian of an 8th grade student, please submit a baby/young child photo of your student to Mr. Riley for the 8th grade graduation slideshow! You can have your student bring it in to school or email it to JRiley@cardinalritter.org . 
UPCOMING ILEARN TESTING

ILEARN testing for junior high will be late in April and early May for Math and English. The schedule is as follows:

Week of April 26 - Grade 7 testing for English and Math

Week of May 3 - Grade 8 testing for English and Math

Testing will not be scheduled for Wednesdays. Please contact the guidance office if you have questions regarding your student's testing schedule.
Class Breakdown
Beginning Band: We have been diligently working on perfecting our concert pieces. Pirates of Caribbean is still our most difficult piece and has been a fun challenge. Students are improving each class! We are looking forward to our concert in May!

7thGrade Science: Students are learning about cell transport and the different methods that cells use to transport materials into and out of the cell.
8thGrade Science: Students are learning about the cell cycle and cellular division. After we wrap up cells, we will begin learning about tissues, organs and organ systems.

7th Grade Theology: We are wrapping up a unit on Sin and Humanity before moving to the Sacrament of Reconciliation after break.
8th Grade Theology: We are wrapping up a mini unit on Religious Vocations before moving to a discussion of the Lay/Married Life after break

7th Grade Social Studies: We are finishing up our learning on Sub-Saharan African Kingdoms and moving to learn about Africa in Global Trade.

8th Grade Social Studies: We are learning about the Constitution and its writers.

Algebra 1: We have started solving systems of equations.

Attention Junior High Raiders

Registration for Co-Ed soccer and Co-Ed Track and Field is now available. The fee for soccer is $45. The fee for Track is $42 per participant. 

IMPORTANT: Fees MUST be paid by April 1st in order to participate. Checks can be made out to Cardinal Ritter High School. The Cardinal Ritter school code is 146CRJH-IN. You must have a physical on file to be able to participate. Please contact Kyle Powers with any questions.

Please spend time with your student this weekend to check your student's grades and expect them to explain any low grades. Students may be able to turn in late homework for partial credit to improve their grade.
