Dear Parents,

The end of the year is upon us. Last week we had a great turnout at our ICC art competition.  Seeing our students’ beautiful artwork and listening to our orchestra play were wonderful opportunities to see the variety of ways that our students excel.  I am so impressed by them.  Our sophomores and juniors had a busy week too - our sophomores helped spruce up the grounds this week on their day of service and our juniors had their class retreat.  Our mass servers have also visited our other WDUCS schools recently to celebrate mass and to spend some time with the students.

We have also celebrated some college signings recently - Troy Wilson signed with Trine University to play football, Savion Brown signed with Aurora University to play basketball, and Max Knutson to play football at Manchester University.  Congratulations to these seniors and their families!

This next week is a momentous one as our seniors will celebrate their last all school mass for the May crowning.  Many of our students will also start their AP testing, and our biology students will participate in I-Learn.

As we begin this busy time of the year, it is a great time to check in with your students to make sure they are ending the year with perseverance in their school work.

We thank you for sharing your children with us.  Continue to pray for our school community.  Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @CRHS_Indy to see more pictures of all the great things happening here.

In Christ’s Peace,

Kari Jost, Principal

Prayer for Students

Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround
us with the mysteries of the universe.
Send your Spirit upon these students and fill them
with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.

DENISON

Summer Performing Arts Opportunity!

A limited number of spots remain available for Summer TUTTI — our 8-day residential summer high school intensive in dance, music, and theatre — where students live and learn with peers from across the disciplines and across the country. They’ll deepen their skills and talents in their chosen area while exploring new ways of making art, guided by Denison professors as well as nationally-acclaimed professional artists and ensembles, Third Coast Percussion, string quartet ETHEL, and members from Available Light Theatre.

We welcome dancers (all styles), instrumentalists (strings, woodwinds, brass, piano, and percussion), composers, and students interested in all aspects of theatre-making (acting, directing, designing). Current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders are eligible to apply. Financial support is available for families with need. This year’s program runs from June 24 to July 1, 2023.

Please feel free to pass this information along to teachers in the performing arts, and encourage your best students to apply! For more information and a link to the online application, go to summertutti.denison.edu.
