Dear Parents,

The new school is here! This week we kicked off our athletic season with mass together, and next week our teachers will begin their meetings and professional development for the new school year. We are so excited to welcome your students back into the building and to begin this year with all of our students in person.

I know many of you have questions about Covid protocols. At this moment (and we know this can change at any time), masks are optional based on Marion County Health Department’s guidelines for schools. We highly encourage masks for students who are not vaccinated or for anyone who would feel more comfortable wearing a mask. We will NOT be asking students if they are vaccinated. We will continue to contact trace if we have a positive case. This means that if your child has been exposed to someone who has tested positive, we will reach out to you to let you know the quarantine policy based on your child’s vaccination status.

This upcoming week is a busy one. Don’t miss out on this important dates:

Monday, August 9:
Freshmen/New Parent Meeting in the CRHS Cafeteria from 6-8 pm

Tuesday, August 10:
Freshmen Orientation (students only) from 9-2. Students may dress in casual attire.

7th Grade Orientation (any new junior high student & parent) 6-8 pm in the cafeteria. Students will get their schedules and will get to practice opening their lockers.

Wednesday, August 11:
Back to School Bash 6-8 pm
Join us for a fun evening. You will be able to get schedules, parking passes, used uniforms, spirit wear, and you can also sign up for volunteer opportunities for the school year. We will start in the gym at 6:00 pm.

Friday, August 13:
First Day for Grades 7, 8, 9
2:00 Dismissal Students should be in uniform (no pe uniforms on this day)

Monday, August 16:

Continue to pray for our world, our community, and our school. Please reach out if you have any questions.

In Christ’s Peace,
Kari Jost

Campus Ministry Retreat

This week the Campus Ministry Leadership Team went on a retreat at Fatima Retreat House to prepare for the coming school year by taking time to encounter the Lord. They reflected on the theme "Awakening Wonder Anew", were trained for various liturgical and pastoral ministries, and brainstormed events to lead the school to wonder at the beauty of the faith this year (and had fun solving a mini mystery!). Zack Gonzales, Stella Campbell, Zach Martin, Ethan Jost, Ella Kappel, Brenda Olivera, Samantha Serrato, and the other leaders who were unable to join us on retreat are excited to serve the CRHS community this coming school year!
