Dear parents,

As we begin the summer it is a reminder of a great end to another school year. While our students had a rocky start it was truly a blessing to end it in a normal fashion. I can not thank our teachers enough for their commitment and resolve shown to our students. Thank you parents for your support and encouragement.

While our halls are filled with students getting a head start on either their math or composition for next year our leadership team is already busy working on the next school year.

I want to thank our Board of Directors for their support especially our Chair Steve Diagostino and Cathy Cox who will not be returning next year.

We congratulate Kemari Robinson ,State champion in the 200 meter dash as well as being the first Raider to win a State title in track and field. We are so proud of his accomplishment.

As we hit the reset button for next year we need to include our parent organization. We need a few more of you to help provide more opportunities for our parents to be involved. Please consider either being a parent representative for a specific grade or serve as an officer. Please let me know.

If you stop by school, pardon our dust as we are adding 2 classrooms and renovating other spaces. So exciting.

Finally, please find time to spend time with your family this summer. Church on Sunday is a great way.

We will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day throughout the summer.

SCHEDULE

During the summer these are the dates
the newsletter will be sent out.
June 24, July 8 and July 22.
Weekly delivery of the newsletter will resume on August 5.
2022 New and Used Uniform Sale
The 2022 New and Used Uniform Sale will be held Friday, June 24th from 3-6 PM and Saturday, June 25th from 10am to 12 pm.
 
Used Uniform Items to sell: 
If you have uniforms to sell they can be dropped off at the school office. All items should be dropped off before June 20th.
Items should be clean and in gently-used condition. Items without stains, with working zippers and no missing buttons fetch the highest resale price.
ALL used uniforms are 50% off the listed price after 11am on Saturday.
All resale items must include a tag securely pinned to the item (please do not staple) with the following information:
   1.  Family/student name
   2.  Suggested Price
   3.  Contact information 
 
If you would like to collect any unsold items, please arrive at the gym by 11:30 to sort through the remaining items and find yours.  
 All unclaimed unsold items are donated to the Parents Club for next year's sale inventory. You will not receive payment in subsequent years for items donated but not sold or claimed in 2022.
 Each family will need to pick up their earnings from the advancement office.
 Proceeds from the sale of donated items benefit the Cardinal Ritter Parent Club.

New Uniforms for Sale:
Families will be able to purchase new uniform polos, sweatshirts, quarter-zips and gym uniforms. 

New uniform bottoms (skirts, shorts, pants) will be available in all sizes to try on. You can then place your order on site.

 
Volunteers are needed to staff the sale:
   Friday, 6/24/22 from 1-6 pm 
   Saturday, 6/25/22 from 10 am -1 pm. 
   Preferred shift? Friday, Saturday or both!
   Volunteers must be available for one full shift either day. No split shifts are available.
   You receive service hours for your time.
   Volunteers have the sneak peek, pre-sale right to purchase 2  items Friday at 2:30 p.m.  

Volunteers should contact event chair Laura Valle (lauralou.valle@gmail.com) and indicate preferred shifts.

We are now scheduling voucher application appointments for next year.! Please utilize the following link to schedule your appointment with Mariana Sauceda. You will need to bring your 2021 tax return as well as any other income documentation for your household.

CONGRATULATIONS KEMARI
Raider Kemari Robinson wins State Championship in the 200m Dash on Saturday with a school recorded breaking run of 21.49. Congratulations Kemari. Kemari will run in the Midwest Meet of Champions between Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. The meet will be held tomorrow at Indiana Wesleyan University, in Marion, Indiana and he will compete in the 4x200m relay. He will also compete in the 2022 NSAF Outdoor Nationals held at Hayward Field in Euguene, Oregon between June 16th and June 19th.

Girls Golf

Any girls in grades 9-12 that are interested in joining the girls golf team this fall, please contact Coach Jones at “tjones@cardinalritter.org”. Experience not required, but some is preferred. You will need your own set of clubs. First practice is July 29th, so online registration and sports physical are required before that date.
Graduates

Guidance will be sending your final high school transcripts to the school you indicated you were attending when we met in May. There is no need to contact us unless your plans have changed. 
You are now able to check grades through the PowerSchool App! Once you have created your parent account, go to your app store and download PowerSchool. CRHS access
code is TMHH.
Register now for The Theatre School at DePaul’s Virtual One-Week Summer High School Training Program.

Our week-long master class style courses run Sunday, July 24-Saturday, July 30, 2022. They are open to all high school students interested in exploring up to four classes in acting, design, directing, comedy arts, stage management, or theatre technology all while building connections with one of the top theatre conservatories in the nation.

Classes will occur Monday-Friday in 90 minute blocks between 10am and 5pm CST. Weekends will consist of various all program events, including industry panels and group activities. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis per class, so I kindly ask that you encourage students to register today. Visit our site for details on class costs and promotions!
