Dear Parents:

May has arrived with warm weather and many activities here at CRHS!  On Thursday we celebrated the month of May with our May crowning where we celebrate Mary by adorning her with flowers.  This was also the first time we saw our seniors dressed in their gowns, so it made for an even more meaningful mass.  Two of our seniors shared beautiful reflections with the student body about their time here at CRHS - Andrew Barber and Jenny Cazares-Juan.  Last night, we held our Spring Concert where our students showed off their talents.  The bands, choir, and orchestra did an excellent job entertaining those fortunate enough to attend.  A huge thank you to Ms. Leyba for developing our students’ talents.

Today, we held our senior luncheon, which is a long-standing tradition where our seniors choose a teacher, coach, or other influential person to a special luncheon here at school.   The seniors look forward to these traditions.

This past week we also had a visit from teachers and principals of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis as they came to observe and evaluate how we are doing in holding to the standards that are essential for a great Catholic school.  While we do not have our completed report, what I did hear were things that I already know - our school has a strong Catholic identity, our staff are committed to our students and to developing their faith lives, and our students are amazing, articulate, and thankful for our school.  I hope you know these things too!

In Christ’s Peace,

Kari Jost, Principal

Prayer for Students

Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround
us with the mysteries of the universe.
Send your Spirit upon these students and fill them
with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.
