Parents,
Today we celebrated our Thanksgiving luncheon with our students in grades 7, 8, 11, and 12, and Tuesday we celebrated with our 9th and 10th graders. We are so thankful for this time we have had with your children and thankful we were able to continue in a Cardinal Ritter High School tradition that has been around for over 20 years.
While we are disappointed that we will not have students meeting in person until January 19, we want our students and families to be safe. Starting Monday, November 23, your child will follow the following schedule on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays:
Period 1 - 8:00 - 9:15
Period 2 - 9:30 - 10:45
Lunch - 10:45 -11: 45
Period 3 - 11:45 - 1:00
Period 4 - 1:15-2:30
This schedule allows for students to have a few more minutes between classes and to have a longer lunch time. Students do not need to log on for study halls. Wednesdays will continue to be asynchronous learning that allows for students to do their work at their own pace and time.
Teachers will still be taking attendance in their classes. Students must be out of bed, dressed, and showing their faces to be considered present. We still need you to call the office and let us know if your child will not be attending classes so that the absence will be considered excused. You will still be notified if your child is not online during their classes.
Your child can keep track of the color day of the week by looking on the website or in their planner. Students will NOT have school next week - Wednesday through Friday. We will continue classes on November 30, which will be a red day. The semester ends at 2:30 on December 18.
Please help your child be successful by making sure your child is on their Google Meets. We know how important it is for your child to see their teachers even if it is through a computer screen. Let’s work together to make this time of virtual learning one that is beneficial for your students.
Please reach out with any questions you may have.
In Christ’s Peace,
Kari Jost

Cardinal Ritter High School is invited to the 2021 BOLD Conference that will be held virtually from Saturday, January 30th to Sunday, January 31st, 2021. BOLD (Business Oriented Leadership Development) is a business conference for high school girls presented by Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business.
BOLD, previously known as YWBLC, is part of Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business (HUWIB), which is the largest undergraduate business organization on Harvard’s campus, reaching over 400 members. Our mission is to empower young women and future leaders by uniting them through business education and experience.
Since 2017, our conferences have been remarkable experiences for our organization and for the high school girls who attended. Though we wish we could have hosted our conference in person, the BOLD team has been working hard to provide the best virtual experience for everyone! The conference will be a full weekend of dynamic programming that seeks to introduce high school women to the business world and guide them in developing essential skills for charting their path in the field. Attendees will attend a wide range of presentations and workshops that will help them further develop business, organization, and communication skills needed for future endeavors. Other programming includes virtual campus tours, workshops, and various industry panels.
Registration is now officially open and can be found at this link. Given the current pandemic and the financial hardships it may present, the BOLD team has decided to implement a “pay-what-you-can system” for ticket prices. In other words, attendees can choose to attend the conference for free, or donate what they are able to. Any donation amount will be greatly appreciated as all proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund for future BOLD conferences. As we transition to a virtual conference and stay mindful of the extenuating circumstances we are in, we wanted to make this event accessible to as many high school women as possible.
For more information about the BOLD conference, please visit www.huwib-bold.com. For information regarding Harvard Women in Business in general, please visit www.huwib.com. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you join us for this exciting event!
