Dear Parents,

What a great night we had on Thursday for our Annual Fund kickoff!

Our students and student ambassadors were amazing. Big Thank You to our steering

committee, Dr. Cassandra Curtis, Kristen Wagner, Michelle Edwards, and Mariana

Sauceda for helping us organize this event. Big Thank You also to all of our Board

members and the Advancement staff.

We were so honored to have recognized publicly people who have been such a big part

of our community and served in so many different ways. We recognized,

1. Anna Roberts as the Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni

Spirit of Service Awards were given to,

2. Eric Schommer for his dedication to Catholic education.

3. Mike DeChant as a coach and mentor.

4. Laura Siener for her commitment to service at Cardinal Ritter.

We had over 200 in attendance. This event kicks off our Annual Fund. The Annual

Fund is the bedrock of our fundraising as it goes beyond closing the gap between tuition

and the cost to educate each student. The Annual Fund also provides a vehicle for

stakeholders to support the school’s mission. It is through the Annual Fund that

programs like athletics and co-curriculars get funded.

The Annual Fund allows us to keep our standards high, our classrooms equipped, and

our students engaged. Gifts to the Annual Fund provide opportunities for all our

students.

We will have our Annual Fund kickoff on our website. Please know that our goal is to

have 100% participation from our parents. You will receive more information in the

weeks to come. Stay Tuned!

¡Qué gran noche tuvimos el jueves para el inicio de nuestro Fondo Anual!

Nuestros estudiantes y estudiantes embajadores fueron increíbles. Muchas gracias a nuestro comité directivo, Dr. Cassandra Curtis, Kristen Wagner, Michelle Edwards y Mariana Sauceda por ayudarnos a organizar este evento. Muchas gracias también a todos nuestros miembros de la Junta y al personal de Avance.

Nos sentimos muy honrados de haber reconocido públicamente a personas que han sido una parte tan importante de nuestra comunidad y han servido de tantas maneras diferentes. Reconocemos,

Tuvimos más de 200 asistentes. Este evento da inicio a nuestro Fondo Anual. El Fondo Anual es la base de nuestra recaudación de fondos, ya que va más allá de cerrar la brecha entre la matrícula y el costo para educar a cada estudiante. El Fondo Anual también proporciona un vehículo para que las partes interesadas apoyen la misión de la escuela. Es a través del Fondo Anual que se financian programas como el atletismo y los co-curriculares.

El Fondo Anual nos permite mantener nuestros estándares altos, nuestras aulas equipadas y nuestros estudiantes comprometidos. Las donaciones al Fondo Anual brindan oportunidades para todos nuestros estudiantes.

Flu shot clinic

Franciscan Immunization Services will be at Cardinal Ritter for a flu shot clinic on Oct. 15 from 4-8pm (during Parent Teacher Conferences). They are happy to vaccinate staff, parents, students and family members. They accept insurance (IU health insurance is out of network). If you do not have insurance, flu shots are $10. Pfizer COVID vaccines will also be available.

Clínica de vacunación contra la gripe Los Servicios de Inmunización Franciscana estarán en Cardinal Ritter para una clínica de vacunación contra la gripe el 15 de octubre de 4 a 8 p. m. (durante las conferencias de padres y maestros). Están felices de vacunar al personal, padres, estudiantes y familiares. Aceptan el seguro (el seguro de salud de IU está fuera de la red). Si no tienes seguro, las vacunas contra la gripe cuestan 10 $. Las vacunas Pfizer COVID también estarán disponibles.

Blood Drive

Donors get 2 service hours for donating!

Cardinal Ritter's first blood drive of the school year will be held on Oct. 15 from 10:30-5pm. Students ages 16 and above, staff and family members are welcome to donate. Students can earn 2 service hours for donating. Students who are 16 years old will need to have their parents sign a consent form which can be obtained from the school nurse. Please see this link to schedule an appointment:

Senior Conferences: 

The Guidance Department will meet with each senior student individually to discuss post-high school plans, talk through the college application process, and outline next steps. We will also discuss financial aid and the FAFSA: please note that it is now a requirement in the state of Indiana for all high school seniors to complete the FAFSA. Parents/guardians are invited to attend these meetings if you would like. Meetings are 45 minutes and can be scheduled at the following links:
