COVID-19 Update

Again this year, the Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) is using the following system to track COVID-19 infection rates in area schools:

  1. Schools with fewer than five cases will be classified as green.
  2. Schools with five or more cases and with case rates that are near or higher than the overall County rate will be classified as "potentially red" or "potentially orange.” Schools will only become "red" or "orange" if MCPHD identifies cases as having in-school links, such as through classrooms or school activities.

Every Friday, the MCPHD will update our level based on the previous two weeks. Their system is not yet up and running this week, but we hope to have information to report next week.

Zach Martin
Senior – Boys Soccer

Zach is the team captain and has lead the team throughout the season. He is constantly pushing his teammates to work harder while keeping them together as a group. Zach is a fierce competitor that is looking to find ways for himself and the team to improve daily.
Kelsey Waggoner
Senior – Girls Volleyball

Kelsey has been a leader of this team on and off the court. Off the court, she is an excellent student-athlete that supports her
teammates at all three levels (freshman, junior varsity and varsity) in the classroom by helping them with questions about homework or studying for a test. Her actions on the court shine way above, when we are down everyone looks for her to bring us back and she is willing to step-up and carry her team. She is leading in all stat categories but she is very humble and works very hard on improving her skills and improving her teammates skills. She doesn't show any type of attitude of being better than anyone. She is the magic on this team!

PSAT and SAT Testing

Parents -

On October 13, 2021, Cardinal Ritter will be hosting two exams. We will have the PSAT for all of our sophomores and juniors. Registration is not required for this test. The state of Indiana covers all fees and all students in those two grade levels take it. Testing will begin at the start of the day at 8am. Once finished, sophomores and juniors will attend class in the afternoon.

Also on October 13, our seniors will have an opportunity to participate in the SAT School Day at Cardinal Ritter. Some of our seniors will be expected to take the SAT due to graduation requirements. A letter will be sent home if your student is expected to test that day. However, all seniors are invited to take the test on October 13. Students who participate in the free/reduced lunch program or are 21st Century Scholars will have the fee waived. All other students will only pay $25 and Cardinal Ritter will pay the difference of the $55 charge. Again, testing is normally $55, but students who test on October 13 will only pay $25. Payment is due in the guidance office by October 7, 2021. If you qualify for a fee waiver, there is no fee. Registration for SAT School Day is through the link below. For this Wednesday test, you do not register through the College Board. Registration is through the link below -

Deadline for seniors to sign up for the SAT School Day is September 14 at 3pm.

If a senior decides not to test and is not needing the SAT for part of their graduation requirement, seniors may elect to take a college visit day instead. Once seniors are done with testing on October 13, they will be done for the day and may do an afternoon college visit. It will be an asynchronous learning day. However, sophomores and juniors will be staying at school for class once they are done with the PSAT.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Lettich at or at (317) 924-4333 ext. 423.
Senior Parents -

We have senior conferences starting. This is an opportunity for counselors to meet one-on-one with our seniors to discuss their future plans. We will review the college application process, financial aid, scholarship opportunities, how to send transcripts, visiting colleges, among any other questions you or your student may have. If you would like to participate in your senior's conference, please email your student's counselor. The breakdown is listed below. We can't wait to get started!

Callout to all Juniors and Seniors to stop by guidance to sign up for college rep visits. Juniors may sign up for 3 visits and Seniors may sign up for 5. New schools are being added weekly.
