Dear Parents,

What a great start to this new school year! There has been such a positive sense of momentum here. This year we will graduate 114 seniors but also welcomed 140 freshmen! I am so happy to see the number of families who want a true Catholic education.

As you know Cardinal Ritter is the Catholic high school for the West Deanery. And as the West Deanery Catholic high school we are an extension of the ministries of the parishes on the west side of Indianapolis. We are so grateful for the support of our pastors at St. Susanna, St. Malachy, St. Monica, Holy Angels, St. Christopher, St. Gabriel, St. Michael, and St. Anthony! Each month I have the privilege of meeting with our pastors to share the good things that are happening at Cardinal Ritter High School.

Each month our principal meets with West Deanery elementary school principals so that we can work collectively to support our young men and women on their educational and spiritual journeys.

We are so appreciative to our West Deanery schools, St. Monica, St. Malachy, St. Christopher, Holy Angels, St. Michael-St. Gabriel, St. Susanna and their principals for all they do every day for our future Raiders.

This next week is Homecoming and our amazing Student Council has planned another great week of activities including a kickball game between faculty and students!

We are excited to welcome back so many of our alumni. Can’t wait to see them! The class of 2022 can pick up their yearbooks in the alumni tent at Marian University on Friday night.

So many good things continue to happen at Cardinal Ritter High School! Come join us!

God Bless,

Mrs. Hoy

Prayer for Students

Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround
us with the mysteries of the universe.
Send your Spirit upon these students and fill them
with your wisdom and blessings.
Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies
and draw ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

R/. Amen.
"Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace in the world."
–St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
