What an exciting week this has been! The school spirit has been unrivaled. The wind and rain has not dampened our enthusiasm. Along with Homecoming Week we have celebrated our seniors in both soccer and volleyball this week. Father Jack Wright celebrated our beautiful homecoming liturgy.

In addition to student activities the Advancement Office has been equally busy preparing for Homecoming events with alumni. We are also preparing for the golf outing next weekend and the Annual Fund dinner on October 10th. At this year’s Annual Fund dinner we will recognize 3 Spirit of Service award recipients: Mike DeChant ,Mentor/Coach, Laura Siener Volunteer of the Year and Eric Schommer, Commitment to Education. | |

Due to the weather, we were not able to recognize this year’s Distinguished Alumni at the game. The Alumni Association has chosen Anna Roberts as this year’s Distinguished Alumni. We are so proud of all of Anna’s accomplishments. As an award winning artist Anna continues to share her talents with our Cardinal Ritter students. Congratulations Anna!

¡Qué semana tan emocionante ha sido esta! El espíritu escolar ha sido inigualable. El viento y la lluvia no han amortiguado nuestro entusiasmo. Junto con la Semana del Homecoming hemos celebrado a nuestros alumnos en grado 12 tanto en fútbol como en voleibol esta semana. El padre Jack Wright celebró nuestra hermosa liturgia de Homecoming .

Debido al clima, no pudimos reconocer a los Distinguished Alumni de este año en el partido . La Asociación de Antiguos Alumnos ha elegido an Anna Roberts como exalumna distinguida de este año. Flu shot clinic
Franciscan Immunization Services will be at Cardinal Ritter for a flu shot clinic on Oct. 15 from 4-8pm (during Parent Teacher Conferences). They are happy to vaccinate staff, parents, students and family members. They accept insurance (IU health insurance is out of network). If you do not have insurance, flu shots are $10. Pfizer COVID vaccines will also be available.
Clínica de vacunación contra la gripe Los Servicios de Inmunización Franciscana estarán en Cardinal Ritter para una clínica de vacunación contra la gripe el 15 de octubre de 4 a 8 p. m. (durante las conferencias de padres y maestros). Están felices de vacunar al personal, padres, estudiantes y familiares. Aceptan el seguro (el seguro de salud de IU está fuera de la red). Blood Drive
Cardinal Ritter's first blood drive of the school year will be held on Oct. 15 from 10:30-5pm. Students ages 16 and above, staff and family members are welcome to donate. Students can earn 2 service hours for donating. Students who are 16 years old will need to have their parents sign a consent form which can be obtained from the school nurse. Congratulations! Cardinal Ritter High School has been selected as one of the high school sports programs to receive funds from the 2024 McDonald’s High School Sports Digital Fundraiser!
On October 2nd, local area McDonald’s restaurants will be raising money for local high school sports programs. Restaurants will be donating 10% of all digital sales made in the McDonald’s App to your athletic department.

Sophomore and Junior Parents
The PSAT is a digital test all sophomores and juniors complete in the fall. Students will test in small groups throughout the month of October starting October 3. Testing will be in the mornings starting at 8am and will finish up by 11:00am. Students who receive accommodations of extended time should finish up by 12pm. Please reach out to Mrs. Lettich, in the guidance office, with any questions regarding testing or if you would like to know your student's specific testing day at jlettich@cardinalritter.org or call (317) 924-4333 ext. 423.

Senior Conferences:
The Guidance Department will meet with each senior student individually to discuss post-high school plans, talk through the college application process, and outline next steps. We will also discuss financial aid and the FAFSA: please note that it is now a requirement in the state of Indiana for all high school seniors to complete the FAFSA. Parents/guardians are invited to attend these meetings if you would like. Meetings are 45 minutes and can be scheduled at the following links:
