TODAY - Yearbook Order Deadline!
Time is quickly running out to order your Bellaire Carillon yearbook! Order by Jan. 31 to ensure that your student has a yearbook this spring. Very few extras are ordered, and any extras are sold on a first come, first serve basis during the spring. There are no guarantees that there will still be books available at distribution in May - please don't rely on this as an option.

There are three ways to order.  Order in person by coming to room 341 with cash or check made out to Bellaire High School.  Order by phone - call the Balfour Call Center at 800-944-5930.  The easiest and quickest way to order is to go to the Balfour website -  www.balfour.com.  Select Bellaire and order your yearbook!  A confirmation receipt is sent directly to your email address.
Yearbooks are $100.

Remember- there are NO guarantees that extra books will be available at distribution - we can't risk ordering many extras - so order NOW to avoid disappointment this spring. If you've already ordered your student's 2020 yearbook, thank you for your support of the Bellaire yearbook department.
If you have any questions, please contact yearbook adviser Andrea Negri at  andrea.negri@houstonisd.org.

January: National Thank You Month
It makes sense that January is National Thank You month! Perhaps you got an amazing gift from a loved one. Maybe you were shown some really lovely hospitality over the holiday break. Or maybe you were invited to a fabulous holiday bash! Learning how to integrate more thankfulness into your life can be done by making just a few simple tweaks. Here are some ideas to add just a little more gratitude into your life this year.

Idea # 1: Write More Thank You Notes in Your Own Voice.
Now is your chance to say what you may have trouble saying face-to-face, especially if a gift or gesture was sent across the miles. To really get through to the recipient, make sure you write in your own voice. What does that mean? Simply put, it means don't use words that you wouldn't say in conversation.

Do:
"I just wanted to thank you so much for writing that awesome college recommendation letter. I think it really made a difference in getting so many acceptance letters!"
Don't:
"It is with great joy and optimistic expectation that I extend my sincerest gratitude for the exemplary recommendation letter that you penned in my honor."

Idea # 2: Show Your Gratitude
Don't just say thank you - show your thanks. Here are a couple ideas on how you can show your gratitude:
· Run an errand they didn't have time to do.
· Bring them coffee or take-out lunch on a busy day at the office.
