Next Week
In a recent weather update from the HISD, the decision has been made to close all HISD schools and offices for Monday & Tuesday of next week. No virtual or face-to-face instruction will occur. We have allowed for our AP/IB & Dual Credit teachers to consider hosting an optional symposium during a portion of one of these days. I have also directed faculty that there are not to be any new assignments, new assessments, or attendance taken for any gathering over the two days. And thus no penalty for anyone that chooses or is unable to attend a symposium. Finally, the next instructional day that we have will be an A Day.
I wish warmth, safety, and full power to each of you for the next several days.
Thanks,
Michael

Bellaire Swim
The 2020-2021 BHS Swim season has officially ended with our last competition at Conroe ISD this past weekend. Our BHS swimmers participated in the Region IV - 6A swim meet this past weekend and were simply fantastic.
The Girls were flying Friday, in the water, for the morning prelims and we saw so many personal best times. An awesome morning of swims, team comradery, and qualifying swims for Finals. Many of our girls posted personal best times during the Finals in the afternoon. The BHS Girls finish 8th out of 22 at Regionals!
The Boys had a lot to live up to as the Girls set the bar high for them. They arrived ready to swim and it was clear with drop times and positive energy felt on the pool deck. The morning prelims also showed collaboration, team spirit, and a strong desire to win. We saw so many personal best times during the prelims. In the afternoon our Final's session was simply electric with our relays dropping more time. Weifan broke his own record and was even faster at Regionals compared to his Districts time in the 200 IM with a time of 1:54.20. The BHS Boys took 11th place out of 22.
Overall, this season was a wild one and one for the record books. We had so many fantastic swims and PB’s this season and the future of Bellaire Swimming & Diving looks very bright. I am so happy to be a part of the Bellaire community and looking forward to our new swim facility 2021-2022.
Thank you, swimmers, for making this a memorable season, and thank you parents for ALL your support.
